Georgetown Kindergarten Artists were busy in the art room painting white owls after reading the story, The Little White Owl by Jane Chapman. Cool paint colors were chosen for the background and the artists worked on their outlining skills to make their owls stand out on the page. (This lesson was inspired by a lesson on Deep Space Sparkle Blog)
I LOVE these owls! I just found them tonight. Please tell the children that I think their art is wonderful, and that I think their owls would look wonderful in my book. I especially love the feathers on their tummies. Great work!
Thanks, Jane! I will pass your compliments on to our fabulous Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Persch!
