Second Graders are finishing up a big Van Gogh Starry Night project.  After examining many Van Gogh pieces, they created a Van Gogh village filled with Dutch architecture and “wedding cake” houses – the roof lines looked like wedding cakes to my second graders!  We painted the starry night sky with tempera paint, painted and cut out our village, and….gorgeous Starry Nights.
