Georgetown was a-buzz today with pre-holiday parties and excitement! We took a break from art projects and everyone enjoyed an art room “Favorites Day” – a chance to enjoy favorite games and art room activities. There were lots of Santa-hat elves in the room today too!
Don’t you just love these crazy reindeer?! Classroom teacher Mr. Jurewicz created these fun collages with his students. He has them displayed on their lockers, and I laugh every time I go by them! Thanks for bringing an awesome art project into your classroom, Mr. J.!
Couldn’t resist this great Nutcracker King created by Mason in Grade 4! Mason’s piece will be on our Art Room Wall Of Fame through January, and will be featured in our Spring 2011 Hudsonville Student Art Show. Way to go, Mason!
We’ve been inspired by food this week in the art room! To help with our January 19 “Marco’s Pizza Night”, our artists have been designing pizza boxes. Some of my 5th Grade artists have been creating these crazy collage snowmen this week – we decided that they look a bit surreal!
Mr. VandenBerg’s Third Graders are finishing up a watercolor project. They created a beautiful background for their trees by brushing cool colors on a 9×12 sheet of watercolor paper and sprinkling the wet paper with salt.
